What is TT bike racing?
Tourist Trophy races, best known and most demanding of the European motorcycle races. The term tourist trophy is now sometimes used for any dirt-track motorcycle race in which there are both right- and left-hand turns as well as steeplechase-style jumps.
Is TT bike faster than road bike?
A tri or TT bike is noticeably faster than a road bike once your average or effective speed (your pace + wind speed) gets above about 20mph. There are 2 reasons why a tri/TT bike is faster: #1 aerobars, #2 aero wheels. Roadbikes can use aero wheels.

Why are TT bikes heavier?
Heavier. A time trial bike is typically 1-2kg heavier than a road bike. This is because the main focus is making a time trial bike more aerodynamic rather than lightweight. TT frames tend to be heavier because of bigger ‘aerofoils’ and bigger frames.
Is TT 2021 going ahead?

How long does the TT take place?
The TT takes place over a 2 week period with the first week dominated by practice sessions followed by a week of racing with the first race day taking place on the Saturday before Mad Sunday with racing then held on alternate days (Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

During TT there are a number of temporary camping and glamping sites to choose from along with the ever popular IOMTT Village situated at the TT Grandstand.
