What is Transmog?
Transmog – short for ‘transmogrification’, and also known as ‘tmog’ by the community – is a term used in online games such as MMOs to change the appearance of an armour piece to another.
Is there a Transmog addon?
It’s called Better Wardrobe and Transmog, and it lists sets not found in Blizzard’s default set list, and much more. The addon adds an “Extra Sets” tab with sets that you won’t find in the default list, and it’s mainly intended for transmog collectors that want to see the missing pieces.
When did Transmog come out?
Transmogrification is a feature released with Patch 4.3. 0 that players can access via an ethereal Transmogrifier NPC. It allows players to alter the appearance of their weapons and armor for a fee (in gold).

Go to a transmog NPC in major cities and click on them to open up the transmog window. The transmog window is similar to the existing window with a paperdoll and slots you click on to apply transmog.

Can you get Transmogs for other classes?
Players can mix and match Legion artifact appearances of different class specializations to their weapons! With these new rules, you are able to transmog any artifact appearance from your class, as long as it follows normal weapon transmog rules (i.e. 1-hand to 1-hand, 2-hand to 2-hand, etc).
What are the restrictions of transmogrification?
Transmogrification has a number of restrictions, and not all items or pairings can be transmogged. Most importantly, the character must be able to equip both items, armor must be of the same armor type, and weapons must use the same attack style.

Where can I buy transmogrification items?
The auction house is also a good source, though desirable items may command high prices. For the dungeon sets 1 and 2 from Vanilla, which are no longer obtainable, you can buy replicas from vendors at the Darkmoon Faire. These items were specifically made available for transmogrification.
