Why did CastleVille shut down?
CastleVille Legends will be closing on 3/31/2016. We don’t take the decision to sunset our games lightly but we made the tough decision to close CastleVille Legends so our team of game makers can put their passion, energy and time into developing new games.

FarmVille was an agriculture-simulation game created by the San Francisco developer Zynga. It was launched on Facebook in 2009 and for two years was the most popular game on the site.
Why did Zynga shut down CityVille?
The most notable closure was probably CityVille 2, since it was the sequel to what was once Zynga’s biggest hit. COO David Ko blamed some of CityVille 2’s failure on a lack of lead time to properly test the game. Zynga had earlier announced a cost-savings plan that saw the shutdown of 11 titles.
What happened to ChefVille?
Zynga has announced that their ChefVille game will be shutting down, forever, on April 30, 2015. It was a game where players could create virtual food by gathering up the correct ingredients and using the stove that contained that recipe. It will pop up for players who try to play ChefVille after April 1, 2015.
Will CityVille ever come back?
CityVille is a defunct casual social city-building game developed by Zynga, and released in December 2010. A sequel, CityVille 2, was released in December 2012. It was closed down on February, 2013 just three months after the game’s release. CityVille was shut down on April 30, 2015.
