The Companies Act defines the term ‘fraud’ quite broadly, and this could encompass acts of private or commercial bribery. Fraud is a criminal offence under the Companies Act and is punishable with imprisonment ranging from six months to 10 years and/or a fine.
Why is bribing unethical?

As an immoral act, bribery should be prosecuted even in countries in which it is an acceptable practice. Businesses and governments should be considered moral entities that enter into a social contract.

Bribery is considered a sin as bribes are normally given to take undue favours. A person doing that is definitely a “zalim” who takes what is not supposed to be for him. And Islam has condemned all kinds of “zulm”.
