Akrotiri is not a destination in itself, unless you’re an archaeologist. Santorini in total is the most beautiful island that I have ever seen. If your primary goal is to visit a beautiful island, you will not be disappointed. Definitely see Akrotiri if you go to the island, but it’s only worth an afternoon.
