I would ALWAYS change the bearings with going with a new cam, kinda like going with new lifters and such when going with a new cam. I am no engine expert but the bearings cant be more than $65 or so.

How hard is it to replace cam bearings?
Finally, you must clock each bearing to align with the oiling holes in the block. Replacing the cam bearings is not incredibly difficult as long as you follow the rules and pay attention. If you plan on building only one engine ever, then having the machine shop do the work versus buying the tool may be worth it.
