Crew is offering more and more pieces that simply run big. Since some of us prefer a more tailored look, we end up sizing down a size or two.

They do run large though! I’m in a medium and could have sized down to a small.

Crew sizes. SHOES: The flats tend to run true to size. However, sandals, peep toe shoes, and wedges run 1/2 size too big.
How do J Crew coats fit?
What size should you order? The J. Crew Cocoon coat does run big–I would suggest sizing down. I’m usually a 0 or 2 in coats and I ordered a size 0 and I still have room to layer underneath it.

Are J Crew shoes comfortable?
As I mentioned before, J. Crew flats in general have a little bit of padding in the soles, but not enough to warrant them walkable for a day-trip to the city. Although they are way more comfortable than the flats, they tend to hurt by the end of the day as well.
