Please note that when you arrive at Crane Beach, you will need to have your Crane Beach Parking Permit affixed to your vehicle or you may show your email confirmation for the recent purchase of your Crane Beach Parking Permit. If you do not have your Permit or confirmation email, you may be denied access.
How much is parking at Cranes Beach?
Crane Beach Parking Permits are $85 each and allow you to visit Crane Beach all year long. With a Supporting membership, you are eligible to purchase an additional Crane Beach Parking Permit with your gift membership. Is Crane Beach open to non residents?
Crane Beach is open year-round, and is free to Ipswich residents with the purchase of a yearly beach parking sticker. Non-residents must pay a fee to enter ($40 on weekends during peak season for a car, as of August 2021).

Parking: Parking at Crane Beach is on a first-come, first-served basis. During busier times like weekends and holidays, The Trustees recommend arriving early (or late in the day), carpooling and/or using public transportation.

Hours: Year-round, daily, 8am to sunset. Allow a minimum of 2 hours, 6 hours if also visiting Castle Hill (including Great House or landscape tour) and the Crane Wildlife Refuge.

Crane Beach Loop is a 3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Ipswich, Massachusetts that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from April until September.
