It works. Simple! So far the ONLY option on the market that does 4k 60Hz DP -> HDMI 2.0 conversion. Confirmed with R9 390 that 3840×2160 60Hz 4:4:4 works.
What is a 390X?
The AMD Radeon R9 390X is a high end desktop graphics card that was announced in summer 2015. It is based on the same chip (Hawaii, now called Grenada) as the predecessor the Radeon R9 290X with slightly increased clock rates.
